We should not be spending six billion dollars on the rehabilitation of addicts. That will change nothing; it will be a revolving door meaning big profits for big business with little for the addict. We should incarcerate addicts, as a punishment for breaking the law, and also as a treatment for their addiction. Is this cruel, inhuman? No, it is the only sensible way to cure someone of their addiction and prevent, for a time, another addiction. Put them in prison for 30 days. They receive shelter, 3 hots and a cot, and treatment and it won't cost anywhere near 6 billion taxpayer dollars and it won't enrich investors and speculators. It will cure the addiction, to be sure. And I say the same about the wall. An investors dream come true; easy money. Tap the taxpayer. Fund our border agents so that they can get the job done. They are deliberately being underfunded in hope that they will be privatized, and the ridiculous wall be built.
